Starting pirate gun crews

Posted on May 17, 2014December 23, 2023 by admin

Finally getting around to starting the second batch of pirates.

In the first batch I had three gun crew figures; this time, I’m going to finish 11 others. Some are Foundry (pictured) and some are Old Glory. Between them there are an awful lot of crew with sponges or powder ladles. For a game with limited deck space, a crew of two would probably suffice.

Their shirts seem to most commonly be white or off-white cotton, so that part will be easy. The hardest part about painting figures without uniforms is deciding what colors to use.
